How do I get rid of the vertical lines on the right side of my screen (about 15% of my screen)?

It's the 3rd time it's happened, but the 1st time that a SMC or PRAM reset didn't fix the problem. I always wiped the screen just to check. Nothing.

No idea what caused it as it's always happened out of nowhere. Only thing that may be related is it's been restarting a few times a week as of late with some kind of "kernel trap/panic report" explanation. Also, my fan was pretty loud earlier today.

Thanks in advance.

Hello tenkjuan,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like there is intermittent trouble with the video on the Mac. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
