Q: Access mac mini from any computer over the internet

Hi,

I have a Mac mini (Mid 2011) running Yosemite 10.10.3, and I have downloaded the Server app.

I would like to be able to access the files on my computer from any computer over the internet (not screen share).

So far I have tried setting up the server app to be able to do this, but with no luck. I may have some settings wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

back to my Mac isn't suitable as you cannot use it from any computer. Need to set up like a ftp.

If you're talking about access to your personal files from any computer, including one that you don't administer, there is no way to do that safely, unless you don't care who else can read the files. You would have to enter some kind of password at some point, and you would have no way of knowing whether that password was being captured by a keylogger. Absolutely not recommended.

For a reasonable cost, you can buy a USB flash drive with up to 128 GB capacity. Put the files you need on that and take it with you. Even that is not completely safe.
