Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I see you have questions concerning the calibration for your Apple Watch, specifically for when you're using the cycling workout. The best steps for calibration are in the article you were looking at originally. If you have not yet gone through those steps already, then I do recommend doing so.

Sep 28, 2015 12:39 PM in response to alex_h1by storm_22,I am not convinced this calibrating (walking/running) will fix the cycling. I went 25 miles the other day - MapMyRide and my speedometer on my both had me at 25 miles give or take a tenth or hundredth of a mile but the apple watch had me at 22.2 miles. That is a big difference. I will try this calibration method and hope it works.
On another note: when doing Indoor Cycling it doesn't measure mileage at all or just when I move my arms (I totally understand why - I'm not moving) BUT I would like to know how I can edit my activity and add the mileage? I did go out to apple and submitted a bug. It has to be a bug or why have this activity even track mileage? What I am doing for my work around, deleting the activity and manually putting the data in.
Are there apps out there that does work with Apple Watch but then can update Health Kit? I like the graphing and how it tracks.
