The resource below will explain how to view the storage details on your iPhone 6. One thing you can check is whether or not items you have deleted from your iPhone are still being stored in temporary trash.
For example, when you delete email messages, they are still taking up space in the Trash folder for the email account.
When you delete photos, they are still taking up space in the Recently Deleted folder in the Photos app, etc.
