I have all the latest updates running. I can't seem to add videos from my Photos app to iMovie. There is no option at all. I can dig for it in the user folder but its greyed out. Help please. Thanks

No, only from iPhoto - which you should still have in your applications folder.
That can't be true. I've made a movie from files in there before. I thought so any way. How come they haven't updated them to work together?
Have you set up a Photos 'System library' ? See: Designate a System Photo Library in Photos - Apple Support
Only this library will be accessible from iMovie 10.0.8 (and even this won't be visible from earlier iMovie versions).

I do already have it set to system library. It's only been a problem since the last update. I've made movies before.
