could not load Internet Accounts(and iCloud) preference pane

Question

Hello All,I have a mid-2010 Macbook Pro running on OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. Yesterday I was asked to sign into my iCloud account while checking my mail and that&#x27;s when I noticed this issue. I have no idea how long it&#x27;s been going on. But I can&#x27;t get into the "Internet Accounts" or "iCloud" preferences within the System Preferences.There is literally nothing I can do to get into either one. I keep getting notifications, so i&#x27;ve had to turn those off as well. Any suggestions?Thanks!!

Back up all data before proceeding.Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:~/Library/Preferences/MobileMeAccounts.plistRight-click or control-click the highlighted line and select          Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. Log out or restart the computer and empty the Trash.*If you don&#x27;t see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select          Go ▹ Go to Folder...from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won&#x27;t see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

This fixed everything but the iCloud stuff. I can get into the internet accounts pane now and edit all of them except for the iCloud account. It just freezes when I click on iCloud and gives me the error message. Same with the iCloud pane itself. So i&#x27;m about 50% fixed now. Thank you by the way for that much. Anymore suggestions?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.Step 1The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don&#x27;t use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Linc I have been following your help on this thread and wanted to see if you could help me from here.I did these two steps.  When I logged in as a guest I could actually get the ICloud pane to open ad work normally.When I logged in with safe mode it did not work properly and I got the same message about "Could not load ICloud preference pane".Where to from here? Linc - can i send you a copy of the console report showing when my icloud/internet accounts preferences crashes ?  also - i cant log in to icloud at all on a new device - ex. i have a new iphone - i can&#x27;t &#x27;restore from icloud&#x27; bc when i type in my icloud login - it just goes &#x27;verifying&#x27; for a second, then stops - leaving me at the icloud login screen - no error messages, just doesn&#x27;t sign me in....all devices same.....any idea?
