Q: Notification is not working for Mail

The issue here is the Mail doesn't tell me if there is a new email until I open the mail App, I checked the mail preferences and it is automatically to check for new emails.

 

Any solution!!!

That's normal. Mail has to be running for mail to be retrieved.

    MY  Mail notifications are not working on iPad air.   The answer somebody gave about the mail app needing to be open is not correct.  The notifications are to let you know there are mail in your mailbox. It used to work until a recent update and then it quit.  The mail notifications work properly on my iPhone six as well as my iPod touches. Just not the iPad air.

    HI there. I'm not sure if this will help in any way, but you could try Settings > Reset > Reset All Settings

    My problem was sketchy notifications in apps like Messages, WhatsApp and Mail. I read about this solution somewhere and tried it...it worked for me.

    My issues began after updating to iOS 9 and I use iPad Air and iPhone 5 (both currently on iOS 9.2). The notification issues were sorted on both devices.

    A word of caution though: Settings like WiFi password, alert tones, notification settings, etc will be reset and you will have the chance to set them again as though they've just been enabled for the first time.

    The solution worked for me, I hope it does for you too.
