Q: Welcome screen keeps coming up every time iTunes is opened

I've seen several threads recently where it seems Norton has been blocking non-iOS devices from syncing. Preventing access to the camera roll looks like another strike against it.

Are you by any chance in London?  (a favourite city for a Cuban native like me who now resides in Texas)  Somehow I drew that conclusion....??  If so I have a forum contact there, a good chap by the screen name of Scottyboy who has been having difficulties with what appears to be slow connections to London's Apple servers. His App downloads and updates have been "crawling" for days (his word).  If you are in London indeed would you take a look at this thread? If not just ignore....

BTW, is there a way, without breaking the ToU rules or personal privacy, to contact you besides posting on old threads? Or is that the best way?  Check your emails from the ASC...

There isn't a private messaging feature on Apple Support Communities. I don't subscribe to ASC emails. As a rule I will notice an update to any thread which I've previously been involved with. I generally use something like this Following Discussions link to keep track of updated threads which are highlighted in bold, and I use a custom stylesheet to make that even more obvious. Currently the forum software seems to be suffering from a few glitches where a thread may be updated, but the most recent post isn't visible, or it won't show as updated in that view even though I am still following the thread.

I've temporarily made my email address visible in my profile. Let me know when you've got it and I will turn it off again. I can't promise that it is a more reliable way of getting hold of me, but it might save on confusing asides in other people's threads.
