HI again picas, I got to the first step and when I try to sign out of iCloud on my iPad a box appears saying " Sign Out of iCloud If you sign out of your account, all photos in iCloud Photo Library and Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud will be removed from this iPad." Well I don't think I would want to do that, so what to do now please

THey will be deleted from your iPad only. Photos in Photo Stream are kept in iCloud for 30 days. Older photos can be saved to your device:
