iPhoto events empty in Photos "albums"
I migrated to Photos and couldn't track down my iPhoto photos at first. I found them in the iPhotos Events album however there are no thumb nails and all the albums are empty.
Any fixes for this one?

All Photos album shows photos that have been downloaded from photo stream since installing photos app. All "My Albums" under the Albums tab are empty. Not syncing with iCloud Photo Library.
When you are importing the "Masters" from your iPhoto Library, you will lose the edits, titles, any tags you added.
I'd try to migrate the iPhoto Library again, but to repair it iPhoto before the migration.
Have you already updated Pitot to version 9.6.1, so it can run on MacOS X 10.10.3? (This User Tip explains how to update: Get iPhoto 9.6.1 if you didn't update before OS... | Apple Support Communities)
Then launch iPhoto and check if all events are there in your iPhoto Library. When you launch iPhoto again, you will be prompted, that the iPhoto Library already has been migrated to Photos. Click the "Open Photos" button.
If you are seeing all photos, make a backup copy of the iPhoto Library on an external drive,so you can restore it, if need be.
Then try to repair the library in iPhoto with the First Aid Tools.

I am thinking about going into OG iPhoto Library Masters folder and importing all photos manually into Photos app as a possibly work around.
Is the "All Photos" album also empty, or are your photos there in your library, but the events are lost?
Are you syncing with iCloud Photo Library?
