This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably... but my cable IS certified!!

"This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably..." is the message i receive from my iphone 5 (ios 8.3) when i connect it's certified original Knock Off USB cable in order to recharge it.

I tried those 2 tricks you find around the web (unplug it, restart it, re-plug it etc) but i am only able to transfer files:
the iPhone does not charge anymore even though the display shows the "lightning" icon.
