Q: Info icon on Apple Watch

There is no info icon. You need to set it up with the Apple Watch app on your phone. If you don't see *that* then make sure you've updated to iOS 8.2+. Turn on the Watch, and the iPhone app uses the camera to pair the two devices.

None of this works... my watch became disconnected from my iPhone. Don't know why...

Had to un-pair the watch... Now I am trying to re-pair the two devices.

They is no way to get the pairing screen on the watch to appear. There is no "I" icon unless the pairing screen shows up.

It just goes around and around...

Restarted all devices and nothing will happen.

Out of curiosity, how does the camera recognize the phone and owner? As I recall, the screen was blank.

The watch will have that crazy looking pattern to sync with.

I'm having the same issue.

Did you try resetting your watch after you unpaired it? Go to the watch>settings>general> reset. Let us know if that works.

EDIT: I had the same problem. I just tried this on my watch and it worked for me.

The non existent "I" icon shows up after you reset your Apple watch so you can  start pairing again.

THis was a bad idea in many levels as the Apple watch backup didn't contain any of my health/activity data.

I lost lost a month's worth of activity and achievements. :-(  Apparently when the phone is being backup up to your local machine it needs to have the encrypted setting turned on.

why can't Apple have a way to pair the watch again with my phone without having to reset it? (And causing frustration by finding the hard way that back up really didn't not backup all your stuff?

Same issue. Had to go to watch settings>general>reset.

The watch started as new and pairing was easy, and set up choices were "new or "saved in the iPhone setup menus...I choose the saved settings and all reset as before. Activity history is on the activity app on the phone. I had not used the watch for two weeks, and not updated my iPhone when the problem occurred. I suppose that if I had turned the watch to Off for the hiatus, it might not have unpaired. To turn watch off and on, press and hold the side button, not the crown.
