Q: Trying to upload my resume via my mac computer, but various companies systems saying it's the wrong format. Not sure what to do.
I'm currently on a job search. I have created my resume and saved various versions as a docx or in PDF format. When I upload my resume via my mac computer, the company or even federal government's message is that it's in the wrong format. I'm at a loss. I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
In my last job search I had no problems like this. Has anyone run into this problem before, and if so any advice? The is an aluminum macbook late 2008.
MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

This has nothing to do with Classic.
One of the problems with saved to PDF, the file sizes of PDF can be very large if you print images in PDF. Many sites limit your PDF to 1 MB.
Use a site like https://www.pdfcompress.com/ to compress any PDFs before you upload the PDF to the said sites.
When you save to DOCX, be sure you are saving from a program such as Microsoft Office, Neo Office, LibreOffice or Open Office that actually supports it. DOCX may not work from older versions of the same, and it is better you keep DOC documents as DOC.
You can always Print the document and use the Save as PDF function in the print dialog to make a PDF. But preview it in the Preview application and Adobe Acrobat reader to make sure the formatting has not been messed up before sending it off.
