How do I print landscape from Photos 1.0
I tried to change the setup to landscape when I went to print a picture of graduation. I cannot find any way to change the page set up.
iMac 27" OS 10.10.3 Canon MX920.

Photos is supposed to choose the correct page setup. In a brief test, portrait pictures offered to print in portrait orientation, and landscape pictures offered to bring in landscape orientation.
I wanted to print a broad images as landscape; it was a picture of three friends in a 4x6--I want the 6 inches to be lengthwise and the 4 to be height...oh well--so I am the dumb user and PHOTOS select the page setup for me....not a good [lack of] function. Thanks for the reply
What you say you want is what I get. What do you get?
It must be something in the Cannon setting, then--the images do not show landscape; they show portrait....the images along the right edge (the ones that let you choose size) appears fine but when printed in 4x6, it prints as a portrait...thanks for your efforts....I will play with some other pictures and see what happens.
I'm sorry. I may have misinterpreted what you wanted and/or misstated the results I get.
Photos tries to fit the image(s) in the selected size on the selected size paper. Depending on the two sizes, the same image may appear with its long axis parallel or perpendicular to the long axis of the paper.
If what you were asking was how to force a specific non-default orientation in a specific case, such as printing an image in 4'x6' size onto letter (11"x8.5") paper with the long axes parallel, I don't know of a way to do that.
Thanks, Old Toad. That worked great. I did not know that the Custom size had that swap option.
There's your answer, mosowa, courtesy of Old Toad.
Thanks Markwmsn and OT...worked like a dream--I have to explore those d@$$ arrows more fully next time!
Apple doesn't make them obvious. Takes a lot of sleuthing to find all of the tricks. I'm still learning.
