what does .-ibooks-media-overlay-enabled do in the css of an EPUB3 for iBooks?

Hello, I am trying to find out what the .-ibooks-media-overlay-enabled style does in the main style sheet of an EPUB3 file for iBooks. I have a current project, that works fine, with audio narration and highlighting read-along text, in a fixed layout EPUB3 for iBooks. It doesn't seem to do anything in my EPUB 3 file. But I noticed the highlighting text for my narrated read-along book gets it's styles from .-epub-media-overlay-active. Both styles reference a font color. I am not sure why both tags are in the style sheet though.

Thanks!

Eric
