Q: Untrusted Enterprise Developer

I Installed AppNana Sync, and when i Open it it says "iPhone Distribution: UltimateSimple, Inc." has not been trusted on this iPhone. Until this developer has been trusted, their enterprise apps will not be available for use.

 

I used it before but now it doesnt work since i updated my phone. i know its safe. but apple doesnt

Windows 8, iTunes 12.1.2.27

    It's not that all apps that require a profile are trouble, but NO apps that don't require a profile are trouble. A profile opens the door to malware; an app that you install may or may not be malware, but you have no way to find out. There was a bug about a year ago that would allow any downloaded app to infect a legitimate app if there was a profile on the phone. This issue was fixed in later versions of iOS, however, apps that require a profile are not reviewed by Apple, so they may contain malware either intentionally or accidentally. In general an app provided by an employer is pretty safe; any app that you download using a web browser from an unknown source is not.
