just upgraded to yosemite and photos and now iMovie cannot access photos library. Help?

I just upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite.

I then updated from iPhoto to Photos.

Now, in iMovie, I can only access Photo Booth and not Photos.

Tried all work-arounds, web searches, forums...nada.

Can anyone help?

Really want to avoid deinstnllations and downgrading to Mavericks.

You have to be using iMovie 10.0.8 and it can only see the designated Photos 'System library' - see: Designate a System Photo Library in Photos - Apple Support
