Q: iCloud Photo takes up all my storage

Hi,

I was really eager to start using iCloud Photo library to save some space on my iPhone.

Is it normal that when I activate the service in my iPhone it starts downloading a lot of picture to my phone. (2000 pictures are beeing downloaded)

I end up with a lot of my storage used only because of this . Is the first use of iCloud Photo Library not to help save space on the iPhone. ?
