Why does my photo flip on the front camera on iPhone 6?

When ever I take a front facing picture on my iphone6 it always flips the picture, can I get rid of this?

The picture you see on the screen is a mirror-image for convenience of use. After you take the picture it is reversed left-right to show the view that someone at the point of view of the camera would see. Hold some text up to the camera to see what I mean.

There is no way to turn this off but if you like mirror-images there are plenty off apps which can reverse the left-right flip.
