One of the highlights of iOS 9 is its expanded device coverage. I believe it even exceeds iOS 8 in that respect. This is definitely good, at least on paper, but I will take it with a grain of salt until I see it running on the older gear and measure its performance under real world conditions. But yeah, your iPhone 5S is covered.

Amongst the between-the-lines items that emerged from the now concluded WWDC 2015 where Apple presented the up and coming iOS 9, OS X 10.11 El Capitan and WatchOS 2.0 together with Apple Music, was the fact that iOS 8.4 is practically out the door. Given their need to have a stable platform for Apple Music AND the need to quash the Mail HTTP vulnerability pronto, we may be getting the last of the 8 series before the month is out.
IT was released yesterday for the public to download. Go to your settings and check for updates.
