Q: My iphone isn´t working. How long will my back up on icloud remain intact?

My iphone can´t be switched on. I wanted to find out if there´s a time limit regarding icloud back up? How long will the data remain even though I am not able to access it?

A:

It must be a phone with the same or later version of iOS as the backup. So that would not be an iphone 4, because it doesn't support versions higher than 7.1.2. You could use a 4S, which can run 8.x. Unless you installed the iOS 9 beta on the 5.

Since I will now have to get another iPhone to restore my iCloud backup, does it have to be iPhone 5/later model or can it even be iPhone 4?
