I set up a new library on iphoto on the Mac and uploaded photos from my camera. That worked well. But next time I went into the library several hundred old photos from an old library had appeared. Why did this cross over occur?

Never heard that one before - this is iPhoto and not the new Photos app?
It was in iPhoto . I deleted the photos and they did not come back. Who knows!!!!!!
