How do I add a score and timer to video
Been using iMovie and now upgraded to Final cut and Motion
Looking to add in a timer and a score to video
Struggling to find tutorials on how to do it
hum, well, ... basically, a score is a title - 'decorated' with some graphics..
e.g. I've uploaded lately this one:

(free download link, free to open it in Motion, to apply your custom changes)
when used in FCPX, you have to type in the according numbers....
And it has a backside! Don't miss it .... 😉

This is my hand weldered 'score template' I use for my weekly reports:
two semi-transparent 'bugs', and the display, teams,score, time, colors
The Interface in FCPX ilooks like this:
home or away = switching the team names position
team colors
score
contestant name
... the Timer is VERY complicated:
Motion/FCPX offer a Timecode reader, but Apple, in its endless wisdom, decided, it reads only the Projects time, not the source TC! Completely useless…
I had two options: manually adding the games time - with dozens of edits this ia a painful process
Or...
