If a phone is in airplane mode, and the battery is completely drained, when it is turned back on, will it still be in airplane mode?
2 days ago, I was out and my battery was down to 10 %. I wasn't expecting any calls, so I turned on airplane mode. Sadly, then I (for the first time ever) proceeded to lose my phone. Of course, I can't use find my iphone, or call the phone to see because of the bloody airplane mode. I have called my phone company to see if they can do it, but they said no.
I actually know through a weird set of circumstances that an old woman found my phone, she showed it to a random stranger (the phone had an ID card in it) who posted in a facebook group that I am in, and she had told him that she was going to give it to the police, but she hasn't done that yet. I am wondering, if for some reason she decides to try charging the phone first, if it will turn back on with airplane mode still on? Or will it be off? I've tried sending the 'find my iphone message' to the home screen, but of course, I keep getting the notice that the phone is offline, which could be due to the battery being dead or it being in airplane mode (or both).
TLDR. Lost my iphone 6, it was in airplane mode. If the battery is completely drained and then charged again, is airplane mode still on?
