Can't share webpage as iMessage using Safari

I'm using MacBook Pro (Retina), Late 2013 with OS X 10.10.3 and noticed sometime back that I am unable to send a webpage as a iMessage using the share icon in the Safari. Using other sharing options like email, twitter, linkedIn, etc. seems to work perfectly but anytime I try to send it as an iMessage the screen fades out momentariy (just like for any other option) and then nothing happens.

I will appreciate if anyone has any recommendation to fix this. I have tried searching for this on this forum but have been unable to come across a solution.

Thanks!

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), null

on the Mac under Sierra when Safari is failing sending web pages : what i found is, if u uncheck iCloud contacts under internet account, then it work fine, i can then forward a website using the share menu in safari or file using the share menu in the contextual menu(right click)

This is a bug that seems to be triggered, in some cases at least, by synchronizing Contacts with more than one network account, such as iCloud and Google. If applicable, disable all but one of the accounts in the Accounts tab of the Contacts preferences window. Test. If the problem is resolved, you'll need to consolidate your contacts in one account and delete the others.

Hi there!

I have the exact same problem except it's in my iPhone and not Macbook. Also, it works sometimes but not all the time. I also tried the contact thing. My contacts were being synced by google and iCloud but then I unsynced one and it didn't fix the problem (so I re-synced).

Do you have any advice?

Thank you.
