Assigning multiple outputs in Logic 9 Express

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to assign my tracks in Logic 9 Express to different outputs. On the mixer all of my tracks are assigned to stereo in my mixer by default. When I click on "stereo" nothing happens and I am not able to assign my tracks to different outputs. Do I have to assign my track to an output when I create it? If so is there an easy work around?
