Q: How can you tell if the SMC reset actually happened?
Computer has apps freezing frequently so was told about the SMC reset as a way to try to resolve. However, how do you know if the SMC reset actually happened?
Do you have a Mac Pro or a MacBook Pro (if so then post in the MacBook Pro forum in the future)? If the latter, you should have seen the LED light on the charger briefly change color while doing the reset.
