itunes activate sim locked

I am trying to activate my iphone which I accidentaly blocked with find my iphone. When trying to use iTunes a message comes up saying that the sim is locked with PIN.


When trying to do it with WIFI I get a message saying that apple servers are temporaly unavailable and it suggest to proceed through iTunes to activate it.


Have anybody had a similar problem and know how to solve it?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

From your description it sounds like SIM PIN has been activated and Personal Unlocking Key (PUK) has been incorrectly entered. See the following article, specifically this section:

Personal Unlocking Key (PUK)

If you enter the PIN incorrectly three times, you may need to enter a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK) to enable your SIM card again. Refer to the SIM card documentation or contact your carrier.


Note: Entering an incorrect PUK code too many times will result in the SIM becoming permanently locked. If this occurs, you will need to contact your carrier for a replacement SIM card.
