Internal Mic not working for Garageband but working fine in other applications.

My internal mic for garageband is not working. It's not a hardware issue, as it works just fine in other apps like QuickTime and Skype.

I checked my preferences in garageband and the recording settings for the track, but all seemed normal. They were both selected to play the internal mic, but nothing is showing up for the internal mic's actual recording.

I just don't understand it!

The input level in systems preferences was muted, but as you can see, I raised it, and the problem persists!
