Q: how to play avi files in mac powerpoint

Dear Colleagues

I have lots of avi files which would embed in windows powerpoint for my medical presentations. Recently I moved to Mac. Now whenever, I play my Powerpoint for Mac, the avi files do not play.

How would I play these avi files in Powerpoint for Mac.

AVI files must be converted to play on Mac.
Download and install MPEG Streamclip from here: MPEG Streamclip
drag the AVI file into MPEG Streamclip window and export to Quicktime > H264
