Q: Restarting new Iphone

Hello,

I tried to install my new Iphone 5 today. It's the old one from my father. There was a problem with logging out his ICloud Account, so by accident we activated the "find my Iphone" function. After that we kicked the phone out of the account, but on the home screen of the phone it still does say "I lost my phone, please call me..." with his number. I put a new sim card into the phone. When I know try to activate it, it does say "server error please connect to your computer". Connecting it to my computer does not solve my problem, as Itunes says I should type in the pin of my new sim card. The Problem is, that nothing pops up, in which I could type in my pin. Please help me

Remove this phone from your father's account and then restore it to the factory settings.
Use the instructions from these articles:

Put the old SIM back in and try this Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled or this Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account

Just as an FYI, the information you have been provide will deal with the activation lock, however the SIM PIN message you received is something unrelated. Once you get the activation lock off the device, you will need to get the SIM PIN from the carrier you go the SIM from. They control that.

I put back the old sim, but now have the same problem. It says I need to activate the phone, and then I get the "server error". Connecting to a computer doesn't help neither. It again says "type in the pin", but there is no space to type it in.
