Apple EarPods MD827 with ipod shuffle 1G

hello, i bought iphone 5s. before i had ipod shuffle 1g, when i tried to listen the music on my ipod with earpods of iphone it is do not work, with this earpods i can not change volume on my ipod...on iphone everything alright...itunes writes that my ipod has latest software...what is the problem could be?

iPod shuffle, iOS 1.x, serial nomber of ipod 4H********A78

Hello ashaticus,

The Apple EarPods are not compatible with the 3rd Generation iPod Shuffle. More information can be found in the article linked below.

This headset isn't compatible with the iPod shuffle (3rd generation) because the playback and volume controls aren't supported.
