No WiFi so how do you download a TV show/movie from iTunes to the iPad

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find an answer. How do you download a TV show or movie you purchased on iTunes, to your iPad, so you can watch it when there is no WiFi (for example if you're on a deserted island...lol). Again, I apologize for the seemingly simple question....😕
