Jun 13, 2015 1:25 PM in response to Grant Bennet-Alderby Winston20,Thanks, I did read the article.
So when I go through the software updates it gives e a list of about 14 items ranging from Itunes updates to others. I go thought the next steps and then I restart the computer. But when I restart and go back to the updates they are all still listed as needing updated. I also tried a download OSX upgrade to Yosemite and it took hours over my internet line. But I do go to my Downloads and I dont see it there.

Jun 13, 2015 1:32 PM in response to Winston20by lllaass,Sounds like the Yosemite download never completed and the connections was lost. That sometimes happens with a slow connection.
For SL try install the 10.6.8 combo update
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
then the 10.6.8 supplemental update

Jun 13, 2015 1:43 PM in response to Winston20by Grant Bennet-Alder,Personally, I am distrustful of the update process, and dislike doing the sometimes-required Restart. So I try not to do more than two or three at a a time, and generally leave the Restart ones for last (for no particular technical reason).
