I have a macintosh Performa 630 CD computer that I have been trying to install, "Carmen Sandiego Great chase through time." However, it keeps asking for the Administrator's password, one that my dad can't seem to dig up. Any help would be amazing, I've been searching all over the web looking for answer.
Have you used an OS disk (on a floppy or CD-ROM) to reset the password, much like you would on a newer Mac? If you don't have the system disk, there are workarounds (such as possibly accessing the OS on the ROM?)
What OD version is installed on the Performa? That can make a difference in getting this sorted.
Sorry, I meant to ask "what OS version," not "OD" version.
