Q: After Moving iTunes Library From One External Hard Drive to Another, iTunes is Using an Old Version of My Library.
Hello Support Community!
Recently I bought a new MacBook Pro and a new external hard drive. On my previous MacBook Pro I stored my iTunes library on an external hard drive and I wanted to do the same with my new computer.
After reading this ( How do I move an iTunes library from one external drive to another?) link it seemed like a fairly straight forward procedure. I transferred my entire library to the new external drive and held down option while opening iTunes. I selected "Choose Library..." and then the directory path "/Volumes/External/iTunes".
When I open iTunes however it does not have all of my most recent additions.
This is what I see when I open iTunes on my new computer:
This is what I should be seeing:
I'm missing about 3000 of my most recent additions. It seems like iTunes is reading an older version of my library. Is there a way to point it to read the most recent version?
Thanks in advance!
