Jun 14, 2015 6:17 AMby den.thed,Those spec's are good and you should not have a problem unless you are running to many startup items and/or a lot of App's at the same time. Additionally your system can be damaged or bogged down by running unnecessary third party cleaners and AV-ware.
A good bet, is to run EtreCheck and report back here with the results.

Beginning with Mavericks Activity Monitor works differently that with older versions of OS X. It's completely normal to see all pf your ram being used, that's actually a good thing.
