I got a screen come up and a voice saying I needed to call this number for help with my Apple product as a virus had attached itself.

I got a screen come up and a voice saying I needed to call this number for help with my Apple product as a virus had attached itself. I couldn't get the thing off until I shut down the computer. Has anyone else had this? I know it's some kind of scam, so of course didn't call the number, but I wonder if my computer has been compromised somehow. Thanks.

Hi,

i had this problem with my iPhone7 yesterday night. I did call, but hanged off immediately after answered. I don't know if this action compromised the privacy of my phone, but after reading through this community, i went to Safari settings, pressed on Clear History and Website Data, and I was then able to gain access back into the browser.

Does anyone has knowledge on whether or not my passwords saved in Safari were compromised?

Thanks!

Today, I had the same message, figured out it was a scam. I closed Safari using Force to quit. Then i reopened it and Google the name of the website without the "www" just to see if it is existing (probably a mistake?) .

First hit was the website so i went to see what is was. There is nothing except a log in for the Admin.

What is surprising me is when i checked again with Google, i cannot find this link anymore and in the history, there is no trace of my research in the history except that page. I cleaned and removed all the cookies for my computer and restart Safari holding the shift key.

Is there anything else i can to do to avoid problems?

Thanks!

I just got this pop up in safari as well as in chrome.. do I have a virus in my mac book pro.. I keep getting this unlimited times..Plus I called them and they told they are from apple.

They wanted to access my system I told them to verify themselves but they could not .. I told I can not do it and I will take it to apple care.

Can anyone suggest how to clean this up.. This is happening in all the browser when I am accessing my bank accounts even then. I am really confused.
