Q: make my iphone into an ipod

I want to use my iphone 3g to play music via bluetooth jambox. Right now, whenever my new iphone rings, the music stops. How can I change my 3g iphone into strictly an ipod? Thanks, Susie

    Hi Susan Richardson,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

If I understand correctly, you currently use an iPhone 3G that is active with cellular service. When a call comes in while you are using this iPhone to wirelessly play music the music stops and you would like a way to turn off the calling features.

If this is correct, you can turn on Airplane Mode on the iPhone to disable Cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. You can; however, turn the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi back on while in Airplane Mode to listen to your music wirelessly.

Please read over the attached article for information on using Airplane Mode.

    Best regards,

    Joe
