itunes wont download computer does not meet minimum requirements

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are not able to download iTunes on your Windows computer and are getting an alert that your computer does not meet the system requirements. The attached link below is the page where you would download iTunes directly, not update it. The reason I am providing the page is because it has the Windows System Requirements listed on it.

Please check to make sure your computer meets the requirements for the newest version of iTunes 12. If it does and you are still unable to update, please let me know what version of Windows you have on your computer and what version of iTunes is currently installed.

Windows System Requirements

• PC with a 1GHz Intel or AMD processor and 512MB of RAM
• Windows XP Service Pack 3 or later, 32-bit editions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
• 64-bit editions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit installer
• 400MB of available disk space
• Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store

i am having the same problem.

my computer....

XP SP3 all current updates

1Gig Ram

1.33 Ghz AMD Athlon

13Gig Free space

50MB Broadband internet connection

Itunes downloads, but installer says I do not meet the minimum requirements
