How can I copy and paste with formatting?

Hello there. I'm totally new to iPad and Safari and I am having a problem with copying and pasting.

When I copy some text from Word for iPad and then paste that text in a text box in a webpage (such as WordPress or even this text box I am typing in right now) none of the formatting gets transferred across. WordPress definitely supports emboldened text and hyperlinked text being pasted across because I've had no problems with this on a PC - but with Safari (and Chrome actually) on my iPad Air (iOS8.3) it's just not working.

Any ideas? Any solutions?

Thanks,

David.

This has always worked for me but, for some reason, over the past few weeks since the last iOS update it has stopped working. I've always been able to copy formatted text from Word and paste it into another app such as Quora or email but over the past few weeks, that has stopped working - it looks to me like something in the latest iOS update has broken this functionality.

Thanks for your response.

In this case, it's not about it being a functionality of the website because when I paste into the same text box on a PC it gets pasted across with formatting, and when I paste across from an iPad it has no formatting.

So it can't be about the website - it has to be about the device, or browser, or operating system.... Any ideas of it's possible to get it to paste with formatting?
