My iPhone mail app is tied to my Gmail account. I can only type a few words in the email message and then the keyboard prints blanks instead of the letters I type in. It seems to happens when I attach a photo to the email. Does anybody have the same problem? Solution? How do I report this bug?

It sounds like your Mail app is typing invisible letters when you attach a photo to it. I would start by quitting the Mail app and the Settings app:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, then I would next remove and re add the account in your settings:
Remove the affected email account from your device with these steps:
- Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap the email account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Add your account again.
