Why can't I add rows to the numbers chart I created on my mac.

The most likely cause of not being able to add a row is that you are trying to add a Header row and you have already reached the limit of 5 Header Rows.

Header rows are the ones at the top of a table that are shaded gray by default. You may have changed the formatting, but if you have 5 Header Rows and are trying to add another Header Row, you will be blocked.

Try adding a row above or below Row 6 and see if your powers return.

Another, less common cause, is trying to add a rowing the midst of some merged cells. If you have not merged cells you don't have to worry about this.

Another possibility might be that you have activated a filter on the table without knowing it. Click the table and at the top right choose Sort & Filter > Filter and make sure there are no filters active, or if there are filters, that the Filters checkbox is unchecked.
