Ipod touch Activation?

I reset my I pod touch 5 and I was on the setup page. Then there was a activation but I don't know the password because I forgot. My dad was the owner of it but he also forgot the info. Is there any way to skip this part or reset the account? If I bring this to the apple store will they help?
