Mouse unexpectedly will not work

It doesn't matter if I use an Apple mouse or any other wireless mouse - occasionally it doesn't respond. Changed batteries and used different mice that work on other computers and the Mac in the past (LogicTech as well as bluetooth).

Still goes haywire and unresponsive at times - unpredictable. Not sure why. Began about 2 weeks ago.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

When a mouse is unpredictable, interference is often at the root of the problem. Have you had a new electronic item set up in the room recently; a smart TV, a phone hub, a second mouse or computer? Any of these can cause interference. If you have, move the item(s) and test.
