How can I change the phone number associated with FaceTime on an Ipod Touch?

I need to edit the phone number associated with FaceTime on my Ipod Touch. I do NOT have an iphone....but the number was entered when I first used FaceTime.

There is no field indicating the phone number under settings...when I start the app it states: "FaceTime Failed (phone number shows) is not available for FaceTime.

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.2

A phone number only appears on an iPod (and iPad) for FT and Messages if there is an iPhone using the same Apple ID for FT and Messages. You can;t independently add/change the phone number. It is associated with the Phone using the same ID.
