Youtube on Apple tv is gone

I have a 2nd gen apple tv and the youtube icon disappeared a few weeks ago. It is also no longer in the main menu listing where you choose whether to "hide" or "show" an icon. I've tried restarting as well as restoring the apple tv to no avail.

Ok. I understand the part the YouTube service is no longer supported on 2nd gen Apple TV BUT why Apple has removed the YouTube app from my own Apple TV without my permission? I have not given the permission to Apple to remove YouTube app from my Apple TV! For example, the YouTube app is no longer supported either on iPad 1 but there Apple has not removed! Therefore I asked gently to put back the YouTube app on my Apple TV even that it is not supported anymore because it has been removed without my permission!
