Can't download videos from itunes

Can't download videos from itunes

I am becoming very frustrated. Need to download 2 movies to my 'new' iPad (is it considered iPad 3?). I have a long road trip ahead with my two children and need to figure this out.

The icon appears (little circle with line darkening as download proceeds) but several times the iPad just completely shuts down or restarts or I can also get the message "unable to download retry?"

I have tried different movies and even reset the iPad (basic reset not erase all data)

Please help 🙂

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you have made some movie purchases from iTunes and would like to download them to your iPad. The issue that you are having initially sounds network related. Have you tried to download from a different Wi-Fi network?

If you are still unable to download these movies directly to your iPad, you can use iTunes on your computer to sync these movies. The attached article below describes the process for moving content from your iTunes library to your iOS device.

Thank you, Joe. I did erase reset my iPad and that wasn't quite so helpful. I now have about 20 books and two movies "stuck" on processing or "downloading". I feel so old but I have never sync from iTunes but only used wifi. I will be readin the article immediately. 🙂
