How can I use find my iPad on a gen 1?
ONe of my iPads is missing but the only one available to search for it is my Gen 1. I've NEVER had to use the find me feature.

Do you have a computer available? Log into iCloud.com on the computer and search from there.
THe only device I have right now is my Gen 1 iPad. It will not allow me to log into iCloud.comtoo old to update to iOS 8. Is there anything else I can do?
If you don't already have the Find my iPad app installed, then no. There's really no other option.
You will have to download the Find my iPhone App to the first Gen iPad if you don't have it on the first Gen iPad.
If you have already downloaded it to iTunes or another device using the same Apple id that is being used on the first gen iPad for the App store, you can simply go into the Purchased tab in the App Store App, and look for it there.
If you have not previously downloaded the App, then you will need to do so first to iTunes on a computer, or on another device that can support the current version which requires iOS 8. And only then will you be able to download a compatible version for the first Gen iPad.
Its easier if you can log in to iCloud.com from a computer. It can be any computer at all. Even one from your local Library, or Office supply store you can rent for 10 to 15 minutes. All you need to do is log into a website.
