I recently switched away from my iPhone to an android and I have all my data, contacts, and pictures backed up on my iCloud drive. I was wondering if any of y'all knew a way to retrieve this data with my new device.
I don't have my iPhone anymore, I traded it in. I do however have a macbook pro (late 2011). Any suggestions?

No. An iCloud backup can only be restored to an iOS device.
That said, contacts and other data that are synced to iCloud can be synced to a Mac or accessed at iCloud.com. The other data in the backup would be pretty useless to you anyway since iOS apps won't run on Android and your music should be in iTunes on your computer.
it depends on what device you have. For example, samsung smart switch (in the play store or galaxy app) allows you to restore from icloud backup & there are similar apps on other brands of android.
iCloud backups can only be restored to IOS devices, Android won't work. Check if the Google Play (good name) Store can help.
You sell the Android device and use the money to purchase an iPhone. :-P
But seriously... you don't. You can't restore an iCloud backup to anything other than an iOS device.
Can I retrieve my backup data from my macbook, or do I have to basically get a whole blank iOS device to retrieve it?
